53-stone Navajo Sterling cluster cuff by Vernon and Clarissa Hale.—SOLD!

SOLD!!   When the Drifter first spotted this piece he thought of the late Kirk Smith.  And, indeed, it looks a lot like Kirk's work but it is made by renowned Navajo silversmiths Vernon and Clarissa Hale.  The three large stones are Pilot Mountain turquoise, and the rest are a myriad of alternating turquoise and various colored spiney oyster shell.  The intricate silversmith around the bezel of the center stone is amazing.  The wrist circumference needed to qualify for this trophy is 6.5-inches (though it can be adjusted a quarter-inch either way, but no more.  Weight is 3.11-ounces.  Width across the top is 2.5-inches, and it is hallmarked "V&C HALE."
