Vincent Shirley Navajo earrings with Zuni-type red coral inlay and Sterling "bump-out" centers. #2131

Each earring here has 16 inlaid pieces of real Mediterranean red coral surrounding a reverse-stamped teardrop-shaped and domed 'bump-out' Sterling centerpiece.  Vincent Shirley is known for his intricate, out-of-the-ordinary creative masterpieces combining inlay and non-inlay silversmithing.  These earrings have a very three-dimensional look not captured in the photo.  The settings are deep, such that the surface of the coral is at a markedly higher level that the Sterling balls below encircling below.  Of course the convex, domed, arching teardrop is inset at a different level as well.  Very rich looking.  They are 1 and 3/8th's-inches long—not counting the French hooks.  They are exactly an inch across at the widest point, and weigh 7.5-grams, or .275-ounces.  They are stamped on the back with an "V S" hallmark.  Complimentary USPS tracked Priority shipping within the U.S.
