Burdian Sosseah has been around awhile. Born on the Zuni Pueblo in the 1940's, she began making jewelry in the '60's and has honed the art of creating the quintessential Zuni sunface. To the Zuni the sunface represents a myriad of traits derived from the sun's warmth, such as healing, positive energy and bountifulness. Each earring here has 17 different settings. We've had these in a box with other 'keepers' for years. They were made when Sleeping Beauty turquoise was plentiful (the mine closed in 2012). They are 2 and 3/8th's-inches long, and .75-inches across at the middle of the sunface. Each weighs 4.7-grams, or .165-ounces. Hallmarked "Burdian Sosseeah." It they aren't already, these will be collector pieces someday. Complimentary USPS Priority shipping within the U.S.
