You can use this to protect your forearm from the sting of the bow string popping the flesh of your forearm after you release the arrow, or you can just wear it to look sharp.  The Drifter bought it for the latter but it didn't seem to help much.  Compared to the ones we see online (usually priced a LOT higher) this one appears to be among the cream of the crop as for as Ketoh's go.  It has a high-end piece of turquoise in the center with sawtooth bezeling.  And you'll never be broke when you wear it, 'cuz it is adorned with four Roosevelt Liberty dimes on each side.  The leather is thick enough to not be completely stiff, and it laces on the back to allow a wide range of sizing.  The massive 3.25-inch-long Sterling silver plate is curved nicely to conform to one's arm and it is relatively good-gauge Sterling—adorned with lots of tasteful and intricately-performed hand stamping.  Weight is 96-grams, or 3.4-ounces.  Complimentary USPS tracked Priority shipping within the U.S.
