• Older, thicker-gauge Sterling silver Navajo earrings. #2510

Ahhh, the beauty of Sterling silver.  These were severely tarnished 15-to-20-minutes before these photos were taken.  That's as long as it took to hand clean and polish them back to brilliance.  There's a lot going-on with these earrings that's hard to capture with a camera.  First, they are thicker than the photographs show.  Second, they are convex shaped.  The exterior surface is curved outward from the center instead of being flat.  That outward curve gives them a more three-dimensional appearance.  'Pretty sharp!  Not counting any part of the bale, these beauties are 1.25-inches long and 7/8th's-of-an-inch across the bottom.  With the bale they will hang al-most 1 and 7/8th's-inches.  Each earring weighs 5.5-grams, or .194-ounces.  Hallmarked "W.G." which could be the early stamp of Wilbert Grey.  However we estimate these earrings to be made in the 1990's, so the there could have been another Navajo artisan from that era with that same hallmark.  You'll get lots of comments with these.  Complimentary USPS tracked Priority shipping within the U.S.
